Dr. Ryan Frazine

Raised in Metropolis, Illinois, Ryan Frazine graduated from Massac County High School in 1994. He spent his undergraduate years at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1998. Ryan also played varsity baseball during his time at Tulane.
After graduating from Chicago’s Rush Medical College in 2002, Dr. Frazine began his Internal Medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon completion of this residency in 2005, Dr. Frazine returned to the Western Kentucky area. He spent 3 1/2 years in a general Internal Medicine practice before beginning the Hospitalist Program at Baptist Health Paducah in January of 2009. Here, Dr. Frazine became the program’s initial Medical Director and held this position for 5 years while continuing to practice as a hospitalist.
In 2015, Dr. Frazine opened his own private practice, Advanced Internal Medicine. He also sees patients at Baptist Health Paducah. He is married to Carla and they have 3 daughters. Dr. Frazine’s hobbies include golf, travel, and enjoying music and concerts.

Carla Frazine, PA-C

Raised in Metropolis, Illinois, Carla Frazine graduated from Massac County High School in 1993. She attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for her undergraduate studies until she accepted a position in Saint Louis University’s physician assistant program. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Louis University in 1998 and was awarded the David W. Wagner award of excellence which was voted upon by her peers in the program.

After graduating from PA school, Carla worked in the field of nephrology in Paducah and then at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation in Chicago. She later worked in Emergency Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. After moving back to Southern Illinois, she worked for Jackson Purchase Medical Associates in urgent care and internal medicine until 2014 when she joined her husband at Advanced Internal Medicine.

She and Dr. Frazine continue to live in Southern Illinois and practice medicine in Paducah, Kentucky. They have three children. Her hobbies include running, yoga, golf, scrapbooking and working in her yard. She and Dr. Frazine also love to travel.

Deborah French has sixteen years of experience as a physician assistant in internal medicine, reproductive medicine, women’s health, urgent care, and emergency medicine. She received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Kentucky in 2003. She has remained active in the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Kentucky by giving guest lectures and precepting students as volunteer faculty. She has also served on the Dean’s Advisory Board and was named one of the top 40 alumni from the College of Health Sciences. She published her first journal article last year, “Diagnosis and Management of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss” in Physician Assistant Clinics. She moved to Paducah from Lexington, KY where she lives with her husband and three children. She currently works at Advanced Internal Medicine where she has interests in preventive medicine, women’s health issues, hormonal disorders, and obesity medicine.
